So yea, I’ve started a blog.   I’m not quite sure why I decided to, yet here I am.   The installation and configuration of the server and blog software was fairly easy (provided you know something about unix).   If you couldn’t tell already, I’m using WordPress as my blogging engine. I originally wanted to setup my blog from scratch using Apache and HTML::Mason, but I did not want to go through the hassle. I wanted something feature rich and quick to install. WordPress can run on FreeBSD and requires PHP and MySQL. I tried other solutions but ended up just getting frustrated in the end. At any rate, we’ll see how it turns out.
